As 2024 draws to a close, we are taking a moment to reflect on the milestones and successes of the year at Richard Designs. Thanks to the dedication of our team and the support of our stockists and brides, it has been an incredible year with some fantastic events, new collection launches and much more.
2024 saw us hosting our March, May, and August studio events in our Ely showroom. The events were a remarkable success, seeing our stockists and meeting new customers. We displayed our new collections on the catwalk including bridal, bridesmaid, liquid satin, occasion wear and accessories. Our events were topped off with a delicious pizza lunch and a glass of prosecco when watching the catwalk shows.
A great show was had by all displaying our new occasion wear collection at Harrogate Fashion Week. The collection was inspired by Art Nouveau and featured lots of gorgeous floral lace designs, perfect for Mother of the Bride, or for a wedding guest. 2024 saw us back in Harrogate for Bridal Week as well. A great event for us to debut our new collections on the catwalk including bridal, veils, accessories, bridesmaid dresses and occasion wear, and a fantastic opportunity for us to catch up with familiar faces and welcome new customers.
2024 saw us holding some great new collection photoshoots in amazing locations, such as The Old Hall Ely and Quy Mill Hotel. Thank you to everyone involved, including our amazing photographers, venue staff and models. We cannot wait to explore some new locations for next season. We launched some fantastic new lines, including our popular mini dresses, lace bridal gowns and veils, occasion wear and bridesmaid dresses.
We launched our highly anticipated Liquid satin collection Honora. We are super proud of this collection, and it has been successful for stunning bridesmaid or prom dresses. The liquid satin fabric is light, fluid and so comfortable to wear. It is very on-trend and contemporary, but also classic in its broad appeal, as it is available in variety of silhouettes.
Our content creation has gone from strength to strength with amazing reels on TikTok, Facebook and Instagram for our customers to share. Our Social Media Executive Charlotte has been working hard to highlight all of our exciting new product on our social media channels. We have also held virtual events in our Ely showroom, which have been great for displaying new collections on our website for you to watch live from the comfort of your own home.
At our Ely studio we have taken part in some exciting fundraising this year, raising money for some amazing charities including the incredible Alzheimer’s Society. We have hosted bingo, bake sales, created a charity Halloween window display, Christmas raffles and much more. We cannot wait for more fundraising challenges next year.
