It’s time for our 2023 roundup as another wonderfully busy year comes to a close. This year has seen lots of exciting new projects and opportunities for us at Richard Designs; we are so thankful for the support from our stockists that allows us to continue doing what we love: creating beautiful dresses and accessories for the most special occasions. This blog post will take you through some of our 2023 highlights as we gear up for a busy 2024.
This year we stepped up our content creation, dedicating resource to creating professional content for stockists to use in their shops or for training staff. We held two social media days in which our social media executive, Charlotte, created reels and took photos for use on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook. It’s so great to be able to show our designs on moving bodies as it gives you a sense of how the item will look in real life.
We have also started virtual drop-in sessions where stockists can watch a live stream where you’ll get an close-up look at our products with exclusive insight from the product expert. These events are recorded so stockists can watch back whenever they need a little extra info on a product. These sessions are also great for training up staff in store! Throughout the year we host fundraising events for our charity of the year. This year we have supported Guide Dogs for the Blind Association. We have hosted bake sales, raffles, bingo and more. We are proud to support a charity each year as our staff continuously prove their generosity by donating to a very worthy cause.
As much as we have focused on our in-house events, we have also attended trade shows. William and Scarlett went to Chicago bridal market back in August, marking a return to the event after a few years’ hiatus. We also attended Harrogate Bridal Week in September, where the team worked tirelessly to showcase the Spring 2024 designs. It was so lovely to meet so many new customers and to take the time to catch up with familiar faces.
We have released two collections this year with each collection including bridal gowns, bridesmaid, flower girl and occasion wear dresses alongside veils, accessories, shrugs, petticoats and jewellery. This year has seen the introduction of our brand-new lucent tulle, our softest, most luxurious tulle yet, it really needs to be felt to be believed. We also marked the start of a new era of bridal fashion, incorporating more versatile styles, such as this mini dress, perfect for a second dress or for less formal weddings.
